Well, then you get to live wherever and in whatever you want. 10 Most Unusual Houses In The World If you're new, Subscribe! → 🤍 For copyright queries or general inquiries please get in touch: top5bestbusiness🤍gmail.com Sources: 🤍 Top 5 Best is the #1 place for all your heart warming stories about amazing people that will inspire you everyday. Make sure to subscribe and never miss a single video! #viralstory #amazingpeople #top5best 10 Most Unusual Houses In The World There are big houses and there are small houses, and then you have these houses. Looking more like the products of an architect’s brain on LSD, these houses push the term “avant garde” to its limit. From a house built into a clock, to a house that has no regard for your privacy, yes there is such a thing so stay tuned till the end to know more about it, here are 10 of the most unusual houses in the world. Number 10. The Clocktower Penthouse If you’re like me, you hate the sound of your alarm clock in the morning, so can you imagine living inside the clock itself? The good thing is, this clock doesn’t chime every hour. Atop One Main Street in Brooklyn, New York, an iconic clock tower was transformed into a stunning triplex penthouse, located in the trendy DUMBO or the down under the Manhattan bridge overpass neighborhood. The apartment is part of an old industrial building that was originally built by cardboard manufacturers, and the tower transformation project was developed by David Walentas – the man behind the DUMBO project itself. The jaw-dropping 6,813 square feet penthouse offers you a 360 degree view of the city, overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan. Its signature feature, however, are the four massive clocks, installed in 14-foot-high round windows on each wall. The three-story apartment, with the ceiling going from 16 to 50 feet in height, also has a glass elevator running up its center. The penthouse of the Clock Tower building entered the market in 2009 as the most expensive condo in Brooklyn, listed for $25 million – till then, the most expensive apartment on record had cost a mere $11 million. The realtors, however, have been unsuccessful in selling the Clock Tower penthouse, and it’s now down to $18 million, not exactly a bargain but hey, it’s a small price to pay if you want to live in a clock. Number 9. The Croft House This house is a major work of architectural greatness and has been recognized as so around the world. If follows a very minimalist yet modern design and is located in Victoria, Australia. If you don’t know exactly where it is, it’s quite difficult to find as it blends with the surrounding hill sides. The home was designed by James Stockwell, whose idea was to build a house that blends in with the land surrounding it. Quite unlike many of the other houses in this list, it is an easy home to maintain. Mainly because of the materials used to build it, which are quite unusual. Zinc, among other metals, was used as well as compressed sand resulting into a surprisingly sturdy structure. The home is surrounded by wide ceiling to floor windows allowing for a lot of natural sunlight to enter the residence. A great feature about this house is that it is incorporated with solar energy, which not only makes the house “green” but also reduces living costs. Number 8. The Seashell House Many have wondered what life would be like living in a sea shell, and that was the exact inspiration behind the beautifully crafted Nautilus. This giant seashell house is located in Mexico City, and was built and designed by Javier Senosiain and was built back in 2006. The house features a smooth front facade met with a giant wall of colored mosaics, lighting up the living space in a stunning rainbow effect. Whether you think it looks like a giant snail or seashell, the home is definitely quite strange, but it was actually designed to blend in with the natural surroundings in what Senosiain likes to call “Bio- Architecture.” Inspired by the work of Gaudí and Frank Lloyd Wright, the house is dominated by smooth surfaces, spiral stairs and natural plantings that makes it feel like you’re living inside a shell. it’s a real house built for a young family with two children who were tired living in a conventional home and wanted to change to one integrated to nature. Number 7. The Pole House This house is as dramatic as it is simple. Designed and built by F2 Architecture, the Pole House overlooks the Great Ocean Road in Australia and takes advantage of its location and spectacular views in a very unusual way. The plot on which it was built is a steep hillside which obviously presented a challenge. The architects came up with the most intriguing solution. they built a concrete platform on a 13-meter-high pylon and they put the house on top.

10 Most Unusual Houses In The World 50M Videos is the #1 place for all your heart warming stories about amazing people that will inspire you everyday. Make sure to subscribe and never miss a single video! #viralstory #amazingpeople #50MVideos If you feel like you could use some inspiration for your future home design – or just want to check out weird ideas of homes that people turn into reality, this video is for you! Would you choose to live in a sea-shell like a crab? Or how about in a house hanging to a cliff? If you want to check them out first, here is a list of 10 of the most unusual houses in the world! Let’s begin, shall we: Number 10. Seashell house Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a hermit crab? Swimming in the huge oceans and when tired of that, just roll on the beach and find seashells to live inside them. Well, we are not sure about swimming in the ocean but as for the latter part, it would be like living in this insane house from Mexico City which looks like a giant seashell. The house was designed by Javier Senosiain who drew inspiration from the Nautilus. Of course, the shell was stylized a bit and its form and design were adapted and translated into this amazing architectural jewel. The project was completed in 2016 and one of the most notable elements, besides the obvious shape of the house, is that wonderful wall of colored mosaics which created the most exquisite rainbow effect. 🤍 number 9. floating house By now, you must have an idea that there is a house for almost everyone, even the people who are always on the move. So, a house that floats and on water and moves like a boat is not a farfetched idea. Bonnie always felt that she belonged on the water. One day Bonnie got an idea when her boat builder friend, Denis Tremblay, convinced her that a tiny houseboat was the way to live alternatively, and they ended up making this! This is a 4-season houseboat because it is fully insulated and has an antique wood-burning fireplace to provide heat in winter. For power, they installed a deep cycle marine battery that provides 12-Volt power for the lights, bilge pump, and navigation lights. The main floor has a kitchen, toilet, dining room, and living room, and upstairs there is cozy a sleeping loft with a grill floor that allows heat to rise through the floor, which is brilliant. And, for the best view imaginable, the loft leads to a rooftop patio to soak it all in. When she’s not enjoying her riverside view, Bonnie rents out her floating tiny house as an Airbnb! Would you want to spend a night here? 🤍 number 8. an 8 square meters home Japan’s high population and limited space have made the cost of living in the country very high. Emma is a resident in the country whose house is only 8 square meters. Yes, we are not kidding! When she stretches her arms in her apartment, she can touch both the walls easily. Even by Japanese standards though, this tiny Tokyo apartment is a lot smaller than usual. Emma spent a long time looking for apartments, but her current home stood out from the rest because of its two levels. Despite the narrow, almost hall-like shape, this apartment height prevents the space from feeling too confined. In the house, everything is available. The kitchen is small but has value. The bathroom is amazingly designed. There is even a horizontal bar in the middle of the kitchen, just in case you want to start exercising. A ladder in the living space leads to a small sleeping loft that sits above the apartment’s entrance. If any guest comes, they have to sit on the floor too. This is a perfect space for someone who doesn’t want other people sleeping at their home! 🤍 use number 7. Corner-less house No matter how tiny the house is, they still have corners and walls. Well, not this one. When Christoph Kaiser spotted a flat-pack grain silo from the 1950s for sale on Craigslist, he thought his storage problems were over. But a quick Google search for similar projects led him down a different path, and something extraordinary was made instead. He embarked on an 18-month long project to fashion it into the tiny home of their dreams. And tiny it is: The 366-square-foot home doesn't have any rooms, just an upstairs bed loft and a downstairs, which includes the kitchen and a bathroom. Kaiser ended up building the kitchen cabinets himself. as well as a sliding glass door on wheels that opens up to the backyard and the outdoor shower. In the house, a space-saving spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine bedroom. The bath is the only private space in the open-plan layout. Everything just fits so perfectly in the house it feels like it was made specifically for the silo house.

10 Most Unusual Houses of the World

Hey! It’s Ky. From houses that are above waterfalls, to others below ground. Let’s explore some of the most unusual houses of the world. Subscribe For New Videos! 🤍 Secret tricks businesses are using to make you spend more! : 🤍 Crazy Things That Only Happen In Dubai : 🤍 10. Woodlyn Park, Home To the Hobbit Motel Lord of the Rings is one of the most beloved series of all time. Both the books and movies showed off the town of Hobbiton. There were some fans who wanted to create their own Hobbit experience! So, in Woodlyn Park, which is on the North Island of New Zealand where all six Middle-Earth films were made, they decided to "recreate" Hobbiton in their own way, and they made the very first Hobbit Motel. 9. Winchester Mansion There once was a man named William Winchester. He was the creator of one of the most legendary rifles in the history of the world: The Winchester Rifle. His wife, Sarah, was told by a fortune teller that the guns her husband was making and getting a fortune from, were going to curse her, with the spirits of the people that were killed by them… Sarah decided to build an overly elaborate mansion in San Jose, California. The house was very strange and confusing… 8. The Transparent House The idea of a house made of actual glass, that everyone can see into might sound crazy.. kind of cool, also kind of invasive? And yet, one does indeed exist to the public in Japan. 7. Coober Pedy Coober Pedy in Australia seems like any other town in the world... in certain aspects. It just so happens, that this town is right next to the biggest Opal mine in the world. Their location is in a place that has no shade or barricade from the sun, which can literally roast the surface where the people live. So, the townsfolk made a decision - they were going to live in the mines. 6. Fallingwater House In Mill Run, Pennsylvania, there’s a house known as Fallingwater. It was built in 1935, on top of a waterfall. 5. Keret House In Warsaw, Poland, there is a house that is rather unusual. The place known as the Keret House is the skinniest house in the world. What exactly does that mean, "Skinniest House"? 4. Dune House Near Atlantic Beach in Florida is a very curious set of houses, but you have to go underground to see them. 3. The Water Tower Home Water towers are a part of many towns for a lot of reasons, but in Belgium, a certain water tower, used to be a German spy outpost during the second world war. However, it was later reconstructed into a full-on home where people can live despite the "home" itself being 100 feet off the ground. 2. The Flintstones House In terms of cartoons in history, the Flintstones is one that has charmed and inspired many over the years, and that includes the late TV host and personality Dick Clark. One day he had the idea of having the legendary Flintstones house perfectly recreated (with some modern amenities of course) in Malibu, California, and that's exactly what he did. 1. Sugokri Earth House Located in a forest clearing in Seoul, South Korea, the Sugokri Earth House is not your typical type of underground home. On the surface (of the actual ground) it looks like nothing more than a bunker. It was built with the intention of honoring a poet and showing off the balance between man and nature. #unusualhouses #strangehomes #planetexplained

Inside a Breathtaking Desert Mansion That Looks Like A Fossil | Unique Spaces | Architectural Digest

Today on Architectural Digest we visit Joshua Tree in California to tour the awe-inspiring Kellogg Doolittle Residence. The sensational build was designed by organic architect Kendrick Bangs Kellogg and his protegee John Vugrin in the 1980s taking over 20 years to complete. Upon first glance, you would be forgiven for thinking this property was a living creature; the magnificent structure appears skeletal with 26 cast-concrete pieces fanning out in resemblance of vertebrae. An art piece in and of itself, it is no wonder this unique space is considered one of Kellogg’s greatest masterpieces. It’s a bit too revealed for us, but not for a couple in their forties living in a quiet neighborhood in Tokyo. These folks must trust their community since every belonging they have is visible from the street. A strange idea, yet not impossible for Sou Fujimoto Architects to design.  The entire house is made of see-through glass and a white steel frame designed on diverse small plots and platforms, joined by staircases and ladders with a total of six steps. The 914 square-foot transparent house was built by Sou Fujimoto Architects and is linked with the concept of living within a tree. “The white steel-frame construction shares no similarity to a tree. Yet the life lived and the moments experienced in this space is a contemporary adaptation of the richness once experienced by the ancient ancestors from the time they inhabited trees.” Number 9: Skateboard House, Malibu, California The ultimate dream for generations of skateboarders who wanted to bring their practice into their home has finally come true – the PAS house is the first house designed to be entirely used for skateboarding as well as being a traditional dwelling. The Skateboard House is the project of a private residence built in Malibu, California. In this house, you will be able to skate any areas and surfaces, Indoor and Outdoor. The client and visionary of the project are Pierre Andre Senizergues (PAS), a former World champion and Pro Skater and the founder of Etnies. The prototype of PAS House was recently presented at the La Gaite Lyrique museum in Paris. Number 8: The Keret House, Tiny House, Poland Keret House is a structure and art installation in Warsaw, Poland. It was designed by the architect Jakub Szczęsny through the architecture firm Centrala and has been defined as the narrowest house in the world, measuring just 92 centimeters (3.02 ft) at its thinnest point and 152 centimeters (4.99 ft) at its widest. The two-story art installation was named after Israeli writer and filmmaker Etgar Keret, the building's first tenant. The iron structure contains two floors, one bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living area. It has two non-opening windows, with sunlight entering through translucent glass panels that make up the walls. The entire interior is painted white, and the building's electricity is obtained from a neighboring building. The house has custom water and sewage technology and is not connected to the city-provided water systems. Mushroom house. Number 7: The Hobbit House, Wales With an elegant design and beautiful interior, the Hobbit House of Wales is regarded as one of the world's most eco-friendly constructions. The house on the rock, which is currently on sale for £475,000, is in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The one-bed home is likely to spark plenty of interest from Lord of the Rings fans as it sits in 80 acres of ancient woodland that looks just like The Shire in Tolkien's fictional world. Number 6: Old Water Tower, Belgium Located in the Belgian village of Steenokkerzeel, this 30 meters (98.4 ft) water tower was originally built between 1938 and 1941. It was in service until the 1990s and was used as a watchtower by the Nazis when they took over Belgium in World War II. In 2007, Bham Design Studio set forth to totally renovate and convert the former water tower into a single-family home. The exterior was restored to its original state, while columns were repaired, joints were removed, and top floor windows were enlarged. Number 5: The Flintstones House, Malibu, California With their foot-powered cars and ancient friends, The Flintstones made Stone Age-living look desirable. This 2500-square-foot custom villa, initially designed for TV personality Dick Clark , was modeled after the Bedrock home to blend into its mountainous surroundings in Malibu's hills. Number 4: Dumpster Home, New York City A California designer turned one of the ubiquitous steel receptacles for the trash into a unique living space that he calls home whenever he's in the Big Apple. The $4,000 Gregory Kloehn allocated to fix up the unusual digs is only slightly more than the average monthly rent in Manhattan. "Home sweet home," the 42-year-old Oakland artist said when a porter came to check out his abode.   For copyright matters please contact us at "theimpressiveinc🤍gmail.com"
